Group Marketing Manager with

looking to recruit invidual To take day-to-day responsibility for running
the Group Marketing Department This involves overseeing the marketing of
all UK and US operations, plus a more limited support role in our activities in
other locations.
1. Middle Management of Marketing Team
Monitoring day-to-day work, where necessary.
Assigning and distributing work for colleagues.
Ensuring things do not get ‘back-logged’ – checking colleagues’
workloads, what they have on, redistributing if necessary.
Regular meetings with colleagues (without MD) to ensure we all know what is
going on, and who is doing what.
Ensuring efficiency of department is maintained, e.g. time keeping, lunch
breaks.
Monitoring work of work experience students and paid student help.
In conjunction with MD, assess and appraise staff periodically.
2. Departmental Planning
Preparation and implementation of an annual Marketing Plan. This involves
liaison with other senior staff and members of the Head Office team and regular
reviews to ensure we are ‘on-target’.
Preparation and maintenance of annual trips schedule – identifying regions to
be visited in a set period, assist with choosing trips and workshops, select
staff to lead these trips.
Assisting with identifying ‘new’ regions to target generally – not
necessarily with a trip.
Mailings schedule – when, what, ensuring things go out when they should.
Acting as a ‘first stage screening’ before colleagues come to MD for final
project approval.
Ensure stocks of marketing and promotional materials. Oversee design and
production of all promotional materials with colleagues

Strategy and Planning

teams/country heads, ensuring that they are kept up-to-date with work in
progress
• Document and report on marketing progress for European Wholesale as a whole
as well as specific countries
Business Development
• Liaison with appropriate teams to help develop and implement the marketing
strategy. This will include for example ideas or requirements relating to
product and investment information, literature (copy-writing), sales aids,
thought leadership articles, presentations, web presence, marketing
communications, conferences, corporate entertainment, corporate gifts, to market
research, PR and video.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of the various countries, through working
alongside sales teams, participating in relevant internal meetings, attending
client meetings if appropriate and reading relevant press / market research.
• Development of ‘product pyramids’ for targeted products to allow
efficient sales support to sales teams
Marketing Communications
• Liaise with the rest of the marketing team and other departments if
necessary, to co-ordinate various activities.
• Drive marketing themed communications / campaigns through sales teams /
specific countries including:
o Identifying marketing theme for communication opportunities and agree on a
communication strategy & programme
o Co-ordinate the themed communication effort with the relevant marketing team
members and other departments if necessary, providing clear support requirements
and deadlines.
o Measure and report on feedback from these themed communications
• Ensure consistency and standards of support and materials provided to
Sales/Sales Support
• Reporting of, and promotion of European Wholesale marketing activity
internally
Production
• Provide clear requirements, specifications and deadlines for production of
marketing presentations and literature.
Additional information / required qualifications:
• Native German speaker; fluent French desirable.
• Significant investment funds experience.
• Demonstrate creative ability to problem solving together with high attention
to detail.
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload and
take responsibility for tasks
